    I am wondering if we are allowed to put adsense ads on sites that contain videos?

    GA allows this iff you have content to go with the video.
    Infact i heard that soon Adsense Video Ad units might also become functional

    If it's normal video, it's allowed.
    just like Youtube mainly video

    It's allowed only if

    1. Site does not have only embedded videos

    2. If videos are on your server they should not be copyrighted.
