http://www.arcadesmack.com/ When you click on a game there is a 5 second period to click on ads before the game starts. The user is in no way forced to click the ads. Will google/yahoo ban me for somthing like this?

To be honest go and ask Google and keep yourself safe. Nobody here can give you the red/green light.

I think this should be okay because the ads aren't appearing on a pop-up. As turfsniffer says, best ask the Google people to be extra sure.

It might be ok, but ask google first. Also i think by doing that you wont really get many clicks and your CTR will just go down because of so many impressions without a click. 5 seconds is very fast, i didnt even get a chance to read the ad before it changed.

Clever but I would agree with scubita - likely not to be smiled upon by the folks who matter.

I am not sure but Google TOS says:

"No Google ad may be placed on pages published specifically for the purpose of showing ads, whether or not the page content is relevant."

It is better to ask google

I have done this to my site before (I dont anymore) but when i did do it I didnt think it was against TOS but the above phrase says otherwise. I dont know youd have to ask google to get a 100% definite answer.

Now that I think about it I think they would say no.
