    Hi all,

I am setting up a new website using Joomla.
Bought a cool template with a slidebar.

    http://buyapple.eu/joomla/index.php

The slide comes from the left when the website is opened.
My question is simple: is this allowed?

It is a nice way to get the ads noticed...

I have seen many sites that have the option to show and hide one or both of the side columns and that is perfectly fine if you place the ads in there and your surfers hide or show them.

But this template are dragging the ads from top to bottom to get noticed, and that is not allowed as per Adsense TOS

Another thing is that the sliding panel wont let you scroll down, so there for the full ad block isn't viewable....which i'm sure is against the TOS.

And as Pat Gael said, because the ad block on the main page moves when the side panel comes and goes they might see this as draw attention to the ad.

I agree with Pat, that this template is against TOS

It may be against TOS (i think so) but to be sure contacting google will be better.
