I put something over my ads to make it looks like a post, but it clearly says sponsored links. Is it allowed?

Yep that's fine. Aslong as you are not interfering with the ads, or fooling people into clicking them. Your ad placement is perfectly fine, and in fact should provide you with a nice CTR.

Cool. One quick question, what do you think would be the ideal text to put instead of sponsored links?

identifying the ads as sponsored links is fine. you cannot use any text that will confuse people and trick them to click on the ads.

    BTW nothing against AdSense TOS.

All images are copyrighted unless they explicitly indicate otherwise. So you are looking for images that are labeled "public domain" or where the image creator has said you are allowed to use the image commercially.

As long as you don't put something like, "click the sponsors below" you will be fine.

Don't see a problem with it, Google won't mind I'm sure. Would also be interested to hear what your CTR is.

You should not mask the ads by google word or try to highlight the ads by any other mean.

Using text "sponsored links" or "advertising" is ok, but you are not allowed to use other texts that would lure people into clicking or make them thing this is a normal blog post
