Is saying this before an adsense ad allowed? Is it just the way it is worded? Or is this definitely a no-no? This is the page in question. http://www.submitcorner.com/Tools/Submit/ ad is at the bottom of the page.
definitely not allowed me thinks: If you'd prefer to submit your website without downloading any software, we've conveniently included a few links which provide submission and SEO services: {adsense}
well the "hang em" brigade seem to be out in force again. I would suggest that its actually debatable whether there is a CLEAR breach here - there ARE other links to the services they mention all over that site. I agree it is probably that G wouldn't like it but its more likely to be a "polite warning" email than a banning one.
You're playing with fire with all these false labeling. The "Sponsor Message" on the left column ad is also inappropriate. Continue to do so at the risk of your Adsense banishment.
Your site is CLEARLY in VIOLATION of adsense program policies. Don't be suprised if someone lurking in this forum hasn't already reported you; (just to help eliminate needless competition... I say needless because you are not smart enough to read the terms and conditions of the agreements and abide by them. You simply create more internet noise that folks like us would prefer to just 'go away'). You'd better take the entire site down immediately or eliminate the violation NOW. Actually I'm shocked that it's still up at this moment and you haven't fixed it yet. READ BELOW https://www.google.com/adsense/policies Incentives Web pages may not include incentives of any kind for users to click on ads. This includes encouraging users to click on the ads or to visit the advertisers' sites as well as drawing any undue attention to the ads. For example, your site cannot contain phrases such as "click here," "support us," "visit these links," or other similar language that could apply to any ad, regardless of content. These activities are strictly prohibited in order to avoid potential inflation of advertiser costs. In addition, publishers may not bring unnatural attention to sites displaying ads or referral buttons through unsolicited mass emails or unwanted advertisements on third-party websites. Publishers are also not permitted to use deceptive or unnatural means to draw attention to or incite clicks on referral buttons. :------------------------------------------------------- Being banned from the adsense club is NOT something you want to have done to you. Stop being an idiot and fix it immediately. Whitespider you're an idiot for suggesting that it's debatable. GOOGLE DOES NOT DEBATE ANYTHING. THEY TERMINATE YOU. PERIOD.
Okay, most agree that it's not smart to mislabel your ads, but your attacks on Whitespider and the OP is uncalled for. Act like you've done this before and cut out the insults, especially when you have a total of one post under your belt.
Hi Jack et al - its idiot here Clipster you are entitled to your opinion but you are wrong about Google. In many cases when they see a violation (other than clicking own ads) they will send a "warning" email asking for it to be removed. This has historically been true of violations involving drawing attention to ads (as you can see on many threads in this forum). If you re-read my post that is what I suggested might happen in this case. Perhaps you should also reconsider what I said - I said it was "debatable" because there ARE other links on that page OTHER than the Adsense Ads which people COULD click for that information. If the offending statement said:- If you'd prefer an alternate to downloading our submission agent, we've conveniently provided a few sponsored links BELOW to various submission and SEO sites: ..then it would definitely be a violation - no argument.... But thats the point - is does NOT say "below" and that is why it is ambiguous/debatable. And finally........... I would much rather be an "idiot" - creating real DEBATE in this forum than just sounding off definitive opinions that may or may be 100% correct.
Yep, And it ain't even my site and they're telling me I'm gonna be banned. It's not even my site and they're sending a hit squad after me. Come on guys, I'm only asking about a site I found.
Well, at least the guy was decent enough to include the word sponsored. I've seen other sites which don't even do that much. lol
I too believe it is against TOS with adsense. Actually, including the word "sponsored" actually implies to click on the google ads. If he hadn't included "sponsored" wouldn't it have been more directed to the other "real" seo links on the page? After all, you are assuming that he is referencing the google ads because of the content's placement. If it had been moved further away from the ad, it wouldn't be directly referencing any advertisement, just links. That, is what I'm actually curious about. Would it then be against TOS?
If google sees this site and how it draws undue attention to the adsense ads, they will email the account holder, disable the ads until fixed, etc. They will not ban right off the bat.. Despite how some here may feel, banning is not the first rule. Geesh....what if you screwed up a bit on your site and google just banned you? Without giving you warning, without giving you a chance to fix? It is strange that here in this forum, everybody finds a site that may or may not have an adsense violation, and at once, the BAN THAT SITE crowd comes in.
Nice post Dawg - may common sense prevail........................... ..............well maybe one day it will
