I was reading an electronic review on ezine, where the author has placed his domain name link in the resource box, which redirected the user to amazon store (with his referral link).

I recently registered with amazon's associate prg and i noticed that they ask for the website in which we would like to post their links. So it seems like they are expecting us to post all of their links within a website, or can we use the same way as the above guy was using ?

I also wanted to know if i use a new domain name for redirection (which is different from the website for which amazon approved my associates ac), need i to take a priror approval from amazon for doing that, as they have only approved my website for posting their links and not that domain

Using a redirect e.g. for tracking or affiliate link masking is allowed, what you aren't allowed is general redirects without a click involved.

So, sending people through a jumpscript or similar is fine, just don't redirect a whole old domain to the Amazon homepage.

You can post the links on all your websites/domains, not just the one used in your application.
