I get this ad on my site a lot, and if it's your's I'm sorry, but it uses attention grabbing symbols. Here is the text ad Inkjet Cartridges | Inkjets Cartridge | Inkjet Car http://best-choice-inkjet-cartridges.com/ Here is the TOS Ads on the ad network must adhere to strict quality guidelines: 1. Types of ads: * No adult ads are allowed * No gambling ads are allowed * No pharmaceutical ads are allowed 2. Ad Text: * Keep your anchor text short and useful for end users * For text-based banner ads, make the descriptions long and useful for the users * Do not create all uppercase words unless it's needed (abbreviation for example) * Do not create all lowercase ads * Avoid characters used only to grab attention (for example starting or ending ads with *, !, |, etc.)
I think the pipe symbol is being used as a separator. I am not the owner of the site, neither am I using similar techniques in my ads at all. The owner might change it to - or something, but the TOS seems ok with it as it is now.
That one may have been in the system before the TOS was put in place... there are still some straglers that the owners have not pulled yet. One of these days, we are going to do a sweep to knock the old ones out (I know there are still some in all lowercase too).
I forgot about the policies on what is allowed or isnt allowed. But if lets say a page or website, doesnt contain any adult content but it does link to adult content. And i mean really adult content, should it then be in the Coop?
That's similar to the top 100 ranklist host that had the adult ranklist somewhere deep within its pages. It's not ideal, and I don't remember what Shawn did with that situation, but how would you police it? The reviewers clearly won't have the time to follow every link from every website. It may not necessarily be off of the main page either, but off of some obscure page.
The reviewers may not have time, but we as users sure do. I always click on the coop ads on my sites and take a look at what is there.
That really is the only way as links (especially adult ones) have a tendency to change/appear/disappear on sites. All we can do at this point, I guess, is bring it up here when we come across one.
