This is acceptable in some countries. This is also acceptable to some webmasters. In my book it is unacceptable and not anything I would ever practice. Though, some use these fake generators to boost their site...such as forums or sites with low traffic who rely on high traffic to have others participate. It rarely ever will do a bit of good unless you are a guru and know exactly how to use it...because you can also name a site as a referrer which can make the referrer an authority on the topic. My advice to everyone is to stay away from these type fake hit generators and build a website naturally, it will be to your benefit in the long run.

It's ugly and will probably be banned by Google, but it doesn't violate the ad network TOS. The reason the ad network uses the Google API is because as soon as Google determines a site is spam, it's out.

    Oh... that's nasty.

It would be a great ideea to not accept such websites. My link is there on a probably penalized website :(

If it was penalized, they would automatically loose all their weight.
