Hello. I am the owner of a directory and I am receiving sumbissions for websites like this (is just an example of a long [free, cheap, supercheap...] Loans and Mortages website list):

    http://www.smallpersonalloans.net/

Could you please let me know what about such websites? Are they SPAM websites or what? Any other directory owner encounter the same problem?

I have been getting two or three every day for the last month and a half ... all from the same person.

This is an affiliate site offering UK loans ... but registered/hosted in India.

Real easy to spot ... no contact info, just email forms. :)

Wow, that nice result as I get 30-50 daily like this. :(
Banning domains or IPs will not help.
What I did? Just closed free submissions for 3 hours everyday when Eastern spammers mostly do their job. About 80% gone... ;)

Hmm, yes, thank you guys for your answers.

I think you really did the right thing. I will ban visitors comming from 202.56.* and 59.94.* while these are the main IP subclasses I receive these submissions from.

Yes! I see LOTS of these sites come in daily... glad others are noticing. one of my next projects will be a WebService for your Submission pages to hit to see if they are MFA or Spammy sites.... this way they cannot even submit :)

pffft thats a nice site compared to the crap i used to get and reject...

spam is a site or person that submits constantly knowing that i cant except
sites and yet continues to submit to my directories...lemmiefind is a good example
    thx

YES malcolm1: Totally agree. lemmefind I contastantly see his directory submissions. lemmefind.in lemmefind.co.uk, etc... the dude just wont quit. Someone should make a mod that just searches the submitted domain lemmefind and wont allow to submit.

I guess custom software slows them down a little. :)

I have a few anti-spam measures in place ... maybe I am just too new yet. :)

Glad to see we think alike ... but that could be a very large list real fast. These guys make so many domains, so often the list is out of date the minute it is published.

I got a pharm site hitting me who has a different domain for every pill ... must be in the thousands.

You dont have to.... Google is alraedy figuring he is a menace and a spammer
thats why his PR sucks in whatever country he decides to assimulate...

Google will handle him and ban his sites eventually..
all he is doing is wasting his time and spinning his wheels to his inevidable doom.

    thx
