I'm just testing the waters as a new adwords user. Some of my keywords have 25% CTR but they hit me for low quality. My web statistics do not support their click through claims. They are off by nearly 100%. Their content network has provided clicks on words that are not on my list. For example, one of my phrases is 'Russia dairy' (I provide statistical reports on Russian market), and the apparent referrals came from some garbage ICQ site in the midst of ads for 'diaries'. Diaries??? What are the odds that someone looking to buy a fancy diary will want to purchase a statistical report on Russian dairy imports??? What is this nonsense???
Contact Google and tell them the situation. Usually Goog's support people aren't helpful at all but you never know. Its really your only option anyway.
It's just an example of how Google is trying to steal our hard earned money! Shame on them those thevin' Google's! I would contact them telling them how there not giving you the right keywords. I recommend calling, there email system is a bot.
Google is assuming the web user has typed it in wrong. Here's an easy fix: Add the keyword below exactly as it's shown -diary This way, it will eliminate all impressions from searchers who type in "diary" (a book you write in), as opposed to dairy (from cows). You can also add specific websites to a "banned list" so that your ads do not show up on that site. It's all trial and error! But that will definitely fix your problem for good.
google has really a load, they do mistake sometime. last time i hear click fraud, and google want to return money to users. if you are facing problem, contact with google
Go check out the learning center. Maybe in your space 25% is low. I've never seen an analytics package match AdWords numbers. Never. While you're in the learning center search for keyword matching options.
