I don´t but I would refund the money. Maybe there is some one angry on you and sent you this amount and will do a chargeback, even for 1 cent. And then you won´t be able to provide anything. I know this sounds "stoopid" and every normal person wouldn´t do anything for this but PayPal will do from my experience. So not to get in "trouble" I would just send it back or even don´t accept it.

It could also be someone interested in something you are selling and used it to see if you were a verified paypal user?

Your the lucky winner of the random test payment! Its just someone testing out a payment method or website, and they just happened to enter your email address, i dont think they are going to come chasing you for the money..

I'd be safe and refund the money. It's not worth the hassle of a chargeback or risking your account for a mere penny.

I wouldn't be worried since it even says test package in the message. If you're worried just refund it and forget about it. Paypal should keep a record of your transactions and see that it was refunded. I remember getting one as a unique form of advertisement. A new paid-to site sent a bunch of people (I assume that they bought lists from other websites) 1 penny with their website in the message box.

I would accept it. There is nothing they can do to you for accepting a $0.01 transaction.

of course there is: they can force you to give something like tracking or similar. if you can´t provide they can hold your acc limited (of course only if it has become limited because of this transaction before). they will even do this for .01.
