I saw this posted somewhere and my initial research says this is just not realistic to expect. *** Start Request *** 3 keywords to first page of Google/Yahoo search results No black hat. keywords: submit url web directory submit website I need to have come up in the google top 10 within 30 days 45 Days in the worst case! *** End Request *** These terms have millions of competitors and more importantly, the PR on average for page 1 SERPs is 5. They also expect the results to stay there for 3 months. In addition, these are rather short tail keyword phrases. I would have liked to advise them of their unrealistic request but wasn't allowed (not important why, but point remains). What do you peeps think???? Best, Michael
Yup truly ridiculous, you know that thoough already eh. If it has millions of competitors your not getting it in the top 100 in that time, unless you got some bare gots connections.
If you had to even ask.... I'm not sure why someone would make a demand that no one could guarantee to fulfill. SEM isn't about flash in the pan tactics. I will tell you one thing, and that is although the request is ridiculous..it is not unreasonable. Dependent upon what those keywords are, it is quite possible.
I agree with openmindz, but I took it as milllions of competiitors, ie a competitive set of keywords, I think millions of competitors makes that one a given, but i could be wrong. what is bare gots connections? Ha ha, 'bare gots' is london rudeboy slang (in places), bare = lots gots=im not sure really, but together they mean, depending on context of course, 'alot of jolly good' connections. -)
Even if we do the SEO for a competitive keyword, that would not be enuff because big players would have already invested millions of dollars through SEOs and established their positions there It's not only hard, but it's impossible.
They are just running a seo contest to prmote the techniques of seo and for everyone to learn from each other what techniques were being used to achieve the highest results.
lol if he could even get ranked top 10 for one of those kw by 30 days that be great; let alone all of them.
hey!! it aint ridiculous if you are owner of a site like digg, or google itself probably . Anyhow, if one way of achieving the task would be source yourself a PR 7 website on a similar niche, and put up some relevant content on it. Give it some links from some strong PR websites... and I think you should be up there. The costs would be about 5-10K$, but it is achivable i think... Though the stability of rankings is not guaranteed. Google frequently kicks off old content to get fresh content up there
Its near impossible to achieve for a new website. But, for a well established site, it can be done by getting lots of high PR relevant sites.
absolutely NOT ridiculous....well in internet world....there are all sorts of funny and weird people around.
I thought it was a ridiculous request as well. I'm curious to know why Ocenworld believes it is not. Are you saying you could do this? For the record, this is not something I want to do. Meaning, this isn't a request that I posted. I saw the request posted elsewhere and thought to myself, "Are you kidding?" Best, Michael
