Is this a real PR 8 directory

One of the longest discussions I have seen in a while...At the end of the day, any "new" high PR paid directory is set up to sell its PR! ...And some unsuspecting fools always fall for it!

I still doubt that the backlink was hacked to get.....How can it be done?

yes , its is a 8 PR dir site
it has outgoing links but not as much other dirs have.

 

So now that the high PR inbound links are gone, how long before they try to dump it on some unsuspecting or naive webmaster @ flippa or ebay?

 

It'd be interesting to see though; if the site does get sold at high price, it'd be another instance how little search some investors do before talking their wallet out!

 

I wonder what actually happened to the directory - it would probably make a great story...

 

Great thread and I must admit that the tactic used to gain the high PR was a good one, how the link ended up on them sites is another thing all together.

If the owner had used something different than a directory it might have gone unnoticed.

Could have been added by someone with access, but without the permission of the ESF, might be the reason why it was hidden in punctuation and not in plain view. I doubt the ESF would have provided such a link.

 

I reckon they paid for the links
There are webmasters of high PR sites all around looking to make some easy money

This is the kind of site google should manually remove PR for as its manipulation at its worst and does nothing for directories in general

 

The only 2 entities who have easy access to that site are
1. Webmaster
2. Web Hosting Company

Regardless of what took place if neither of them had hand in this scam, then bull owner hacked his way in
and at this point he deserved everything that comes his way.

In a mean while (you know who you are) all 4 of you who gave me Red Reps. should be ashamed of yourselves

I have disagreements with you and I face you in my posts without using anonymity
like some little parasite is using shadow to hide my sorry ass.

Granted, if I said something that you can prove is not true and you have evidence,
then by all the means go ahead but giving Reds just because you can is as low as
taking candies from babies.

I think you were mistaken about me taking sides with a scammer, but you can read whatever you like into my posts, or interpret them however you like - your prerogative. I didn't take offense enough to have left you negative feedback. If I did, you would have known it was me. If anything, I would have left you a green, seeing how I'm at the top of your Bozo's list.

 

I can't agree more with your comments. It hurts the directory reputation and I think we need educate webmasters for this.
