    I think that's a great gift idea. I hate birthdays because I *never* know what to get anyone. You're lucky you knew she liked music or you'd be stuck in the situation I always am in.

    Okay, let me get this straight. You two broke up, no longer date, and you want to buy her a gift to show her you aren't a bastard? Sounds like you want to try to win her back. This is the kind of thing a guy does for his current girlfriend, not an ex-gf.

    Take the money you were going to spend on her, and take one of her friends out on a date. You'll be better off.
