I was emailed asking if I wanted to exchange links with this site, which has a lot of internal PR5 pages. A closer examination though shows only a handful of links to the entire domain (via linkdomain: on yahoo), none of which have any pagerank to speak of. Here is the url of an internal PR5 page: www dot worldbusinessranking.info/accounts-payable.htm Can anyone work out what is going on with this site, how the internal pages got PR? Something seems very wrong with this picture.
Having an internal page with higher PR than the main page is easy - I have a PR3 page on a PR2 site (just moved up from being a PR0 site) The reason my internal pages hase more PR is thats where the majority of my IBLs land delivering PR there first then distributing it around the site. If all of your IBLs land at your homepage then PR must trickle down to other pages, but if you have multiple 'points of entry' these pages can rank on their own merit Maybe thats whats going on..?
