so, I'm just about to go into my final year college and i'm about to go into my own self employed buisness. what that'll be is; a tech hire. Someone that fixes people's computers remotely, locally, etc. I wanted to know, should I charge £10 an hour?
http://www.gurus2go.com/personal.htm Those guys are charging almost $80 an hour, so I'd recommend charging a little more if you're hoping to make a living!
Yeah, £10 an hour is too cheap. If you call out a plumber you expect to pay a £30-£40 call out fee PLUS another £20 an hour for the actual work PLUS whatever the parts cost. Thankfully I don't need a plumber very often!
I do, I own mkhost. But I want to expand. I want to be cheap with a £5 call out fee with £10 per hour on top.
It is okay for you to ask more even you only want to get more experience,do not be shy, just feel free to ask.
Thats the scarey part, I am too shy, on saturday I went around someones house to fix there computer and I fixed it they wanted to give me money but I couldn't take it, the monther of the son had no job.
You can start with that rate, and increase with time and experience! going cheap has benefits! it will give you more clients!
