    I believe I could get you the same server that one of my clients has (maybe even a bit better) that would beat that. Specs would be around:

    * Dual-core AMD Athlon 64 X2 4200+
    * 2 GB RAM
    * 1x 160 GB SATA Drive
    * 10Mbit unmetered line (so around 3300GB per month)
    * Includes cPanel/WHM/Fantastico
    * Fully managed, tweaked, optimized, and secured

    Price: ~ $155
    Payment via Paypal, Google Checkout, or E-Gold

    Please PM me if you are interested and I can give you something more exact. Thanks. :)

    First off guys it really depends what he is using this for. If you plan on using this for webhosting on a company level, like a webhosting company the xeon is the best deal. Intels all around have far greater performance in not needing to be restarted and such. The only thing that comes close to comparison in terms of AMD vs. Intel next to their xeon class processor would be the opteron. So far, all of these have been athlon processors which are basic retail processors, not really server worthy. However if you are using this for gaming servers, or personal use you should seek out an AMD opteron based machine since it will deliver greater burst performance, and by burst I mean the server would most likely needed to be restarted once every 2 weeks!!! (which is still damn good) I'm not going to throw out any offers at you because I can't really guarantee you a price but if you would like to know more just shoot me a PM and I will see what my company can do for you.

    We could build the exact same thing for $149/mo. Assuming no cPanel since you were not specific about whether they included this for sure.

    If you do need it, add $45/mo.. If this is something that interests you let me know.. Otherwise I think you have a really good price already.. That processor alone is like $200 by itself.

    Thank you.

    I ended up taking the deal guys,

    cPanel wasn't included, it was $30 a month on top, but it was just easier for me staying with the same provider as he made all the changes etc.

    Thanks for all your help! :)

    Thank you for letting us know.. Yeah, I kinda figured that was without cPanel.. A good deal either way IMO for the processor that was quoted.
