Is this a good marketing plan?

The site owners say that 1 in 50 people will buy their product from affiliates. So here is my affiliate plan (20 dollar a month guitar course):

    My site gets around 5400 people a month. Therefore, if 5 percent visit my site then that's 540 visitors a month. 540 visitors = 10 sales = (10 * 20) = 200 dollars.

    Plan 2:

Around .33 percent of visitors actually go to the affiliate link. 1 person buys a guitar course each day so that's (30 * 20) = 600 dollars. Of course I hope .33 percent will visit but highly unlikely.

Which is the better way to get the people to see the link?

Now I have a highly visible link to my guitar blog. The blog has a link to a page with many guitar courses. The 20 dollar guitar course is the top one and it has a page with around 30 free video guitar courses (provided by other people). If they like those then they can click to the course page.

Of course, a better way might be to make the route shorter to get to the free video guitar lesson course. On the other hand, a blog (made by yours truly) which provides free content every week (non-video) might keep people coming back. This would increase the chance people would go to the free videos which lead to the affiliate link.

To sum it up, I think .33 is a very difficult goal to meet but .05 will only get around 200 dollars a month.

Pay per click is impossible unless you have a huge startup of around 2000 dollars. Do you think that's the way to go?

So what ideas do you all have?

You can write a very long story about how to use guitar, along with pictures and testimonials.

I'll leave the pics and testimonials to the affiliate partner. I already have plenty of stuff on how to play a guitar (even stuff that is updated weekly).

So which is better to get hits to the free video lesson page (provided by the third party affiliate)?

Squeeze page > Blog (with weekly updated non-video lessons provided by me) > List of Guitar Courses > The Free Video Lessons by Partner (My current setup)

    or

Squeeze page > List of Guitar Courses > The Free Video Lessons by Partner

    or (best choice I think)

Squeeze page > The Free Video Lessons by Partner (Forget all the guitar courses except for the 19.95 one) The cheapest one and gives a better first impression.

So I just now put on the Free Video Lesson page so I will see tommorow if the Affiliate site gets some visitors. I'd like at least 20 a day but that's tough when you get 180 a day coming to your site.
