Is this a good directory!

Hi,

Here is a directory by me.

I have got PR4 of this directory in less than 4 months. Now this is on a great improvement in the form of alexa ranking as it has gained 50,00000 in last month. From 83 to 34. Is this good going?
Let me know what you say about this directory and what i should do more to improve this one.

 

Does it only have the one listing ? anyway perhaps some promotion to start to fill the catagories

 

I think you need to use any directory template to make it attractive and need to promote it to get some listed in empty categories...

What you have is something good to work with. Your category pages have rank, and that is a huge plus. But the design takes away from the credibility.

Start accepting some free submissions. You only have one listing in the entire directory. Directories are made to accept listings! Anyway, those empty categories are bad for business.

Your Alexa traffic rank is 3,441,854. A brand spanking new Website with little to no traffic can get that rank.

You have 154 backlinks. That's a good start, but building backlinks is a continual process. Keep working. Submit to directories, write articles, bookmark, etc.

Here's my adivce and in this order....

1. Get a template. There are many around and easy to install.
2. Open up shop for free submissions (list at directorycritic.com, info.vilesilencer.com, etc.)
3. Accept paid submission reviews, but keep the prce reasonable.
4. Start building backlinks (other directories, articles, bookmarks, etc.)
5. Stay away from adding partner links on your site. It may hurt your PR in the long run.

PageRank is not everything, and your site is an example of how dysfunctional PageRank really is. A PR 4 and you have just one listing. Do something with your site and you may earn better PageRank and get some business. Otherwise all you have is a PR4 idle site.

This directory has potential, start working on promoting it like the previous posters suggested and you will be polishing a diamond in the rough

There is no secret in it Just ensured quality backlinks and then tried to promote it in the search engines with some keyword rich content.
