Is it a bad idea to use the hop link for clickbank in for my adwords page and to take the user directly to the sales page?
Do you mean for direct linking straight from the ads or linking it from your landing page? If you do placement targeting CPM, then it might produce good result since your ads are the only one on that page/space and there are no competing ads with the same url. Usually, in the search engine, the same type of url can only occur once within a listing.
I don't think it's a "bad" idea but not a "good" one. The truth of the matter is that the hoplink will make you look unprofessional. Why not set up an anchor text instead and have the people click on that to go to the sales page?
For starters, you might prefer direct linking. But my suggestion is create a review page of that product. It's best if you can collect emails of your visitors.
Or just cloak the link or use a service like tinyurl. But the own domain and landing page system has proven to increase sales.
If you plan on paying the highest for your keywords amongst those using the hoplink like you... THEN be sure to use a hoplink.... We really need great marketers like you. Really....
Dude.. you need to rethink that... YOU CAN DO IT AT FIRST and for some people I recommend that... because they need to test the conversions of the product etc... Just send 200 clicks and if you make a sale fine...build the landing page otherwise move on, but I suggest getting that squeeze page in! Collecting leads rocks, compared to "not doing it"... How about just 300 leads a month and each one is worth to you $300/month.. That's $300/month first month then $600/month next month and soon you'll be making a buttload just from your list and no need to advertise again.. - Chris
I'm going to try it out for 50 - 100 clicks and see what's what. By the way, how is lazy million dollars doing?
it wont work, been there done that, make a landing page, create some relevance, dont put 100 keywords in an adgroup either, not smart.
