is this 3 way link exchange, or maybe triangular, or what?

    I own sites A, B, C and D.
Somebody else owns sites E and F.

If I put links pointing to E and F on A and B, and request webmaster to add links pointing to C and D on E and F how would you define that kind of linking and would you consider it as more effective than doing regular reciprocal linking (ABCD on EF, and EF on ABCD)?

Yeahh, its simply three way link exchange, yet you counting two sites pointing to another sites two and they put your anothers two sites. :D and they really good effect on your sites E and F as compare to reciprocal links. BUt keep in mind you always three way link exchange within good page rank.

I have noticed that link exchanges in three way arrangements have better turn outs than traditional linking. I'd definitely recommend it to anyone, even though its near useless on certain automatic systems maybe some, or most, of us are very familiar with.

The days of mass link exchanges in a few clicks are done

Even google itself hints openly about how much it cares about your external and internal linking structures. Therefore, it is given that anything they might consider some form of spam tactic will often end with you wasting your time as the oldschool methods of linking are not valued as they were once in the past.
