Is there still room for a Adbrite type site?

Is there still room in the market for an Adbrite type affiliate network? What could I do to create one and attract both affiliates and advertiers?

 

There is no room for exactly the same program, but if you do something better for advertisers and publishers there is always room for more services.

Yes I would say you need a budget minimum of 500k for a thing such as this. There are so many people who are trying to do it but they are having trouble getting advertisers etc so in turn are not getting any publishers. For instance one large advertising company that was going to do something like adbrite had a budget of around $200k for branding and customer marketing so that they would be well respected etc.

 

Getting the advertisers would be easier the getting the publishers in my opinion as if you dont have enough publishers the inventory would be very limited.. Thats why I was thinking of starting a CPA network instead but I do like phplemons script its a nice one

 

Google AdSense doesn't have any competition right now. If you manage to find advertisers you will do well. The lack of advertisers seems to be the problem of AdBrite, BidVertiser, etc.

 

Yea that is true also very good point.. Thats why I was thinking more CPA as Google is not the leading CPA leader. Or I was thinking about CPM also

 

I think it may be able to be pulled off for a lot less in budget if you know internet marketing, design, coding, etc and can do all or most of the work yourself. I think branding, logo, and finding publishers will be the hardest part.

 

There is room for ANYTHING if you can do it better than everyone else.

LEss fees won't get you business. You need to do something more innovative with the idea.

 

Yeah has to be something new because if you are undercutting someone on one side or the other or just not taking as much yourself you won't make enough to even keep everything running in the end or your profits will be very low.

Have you tried PhpLemon? How is the script? I didn't find any review. I know another script name ventrino which act as a traffic exchange script also. It would be nice if you write your thought about PHPLemon.

 

It's a pretty good script it does need some improvements but the creator told me a lot of new stuff will be coming in the next version
