    That was brutal.

I think when you sign up to a forum, you need to treat it with respect, and become a part of the community. It's no good spamming 50 posts, sticking a signature on there and fucking off. You need to add to the community, build some trust and become a well known USEFUL face about the forum first.

Forums are not there to directly advertise to potential customers (unless the forum was created for that purpose). Forums are generally a group or community of people discussing things of a common interest. If you really want to market effectively you should sign up to the relevant forums and give some added value and participate in the forum for a while then change your sig etc. By doing this you are building up trust from the other users who will be more likely to click on your sig if you are a participating member on that forum.

You are trying to go for results, but so is everyone else. Plan it more carefully. Rather than joining one forum, join 5 or 6, some that give you instant access and some you have to wait. You just put your link in signature, and then post regularly, people will click. Digital Point for example takes 10 posts + 7 days, so you can start with 10 simple informative posts (30 minutes top...), and then go to the warrior forum for example where you have instant signature access, and then after 7 days come back to digital point and now you'll have signature. Post regularly, you'll get more clicks than spamming, and learn stuff too.

When I first joined online, I thought spamming was the best method and am still living with the consequences, banned from one forum permanantly, 2 more temp, but back on, and almost banned on one. Yet I finally learned my lesson, and not a moment too late, and now I just keep a link in my sig and post regularly, trying to fix my rep.

That means you are not comply with the forum website's rules/guidelines. Almost in any forum spam is strictly prohibited, if you do so the only thing will happen i.e. ban.

The reason that person is laughing because you seem to think its easy. However, internet marketing it never easy, yet with a good site and hard work it pays off. You will have to work hard for maybe not the the best results in the beginning but it will pay off. They probably know its hard, so there really is no easy way on forum marketing.

Forum marketing is in fact one of the most fun ways of doing promotion. But only if you join forums you want to participate in. There are no shortcuts. Think of yourself as a customer. Would you like to buy from a person who's spammy and using shortcuts? And if you were running a forum, you'd be kicking the shit out of spammers, they don't contribute to your site and make a bad user experience for the genuine members. Just read the forums you're on, try to learn, ask questions, share your knowledge/stories and you will get those clicks. With time you'll grow some reputation and decent post count, maybe you can make a thread about what's in your signature, telling people what's in your link and why they should check your out - but put their experience first, not yourself.

Read the guidelines, before you use forum marketing. If you follow the guidelines properly, you won't be banned after all.

It is the right place where you will get relevant information related to your needs. Many of the websites receive a very high amount of traffic and are a huge opportunity for whatever niche your site may fall into. By making an effective signature link for each your posts, you can see an drastic increase in your backlinks and also traffic. This traffic is often highly targeted. The web forums can be used successfully to generate traffic to your website or blog which in turn can help to promote your business.

That was kind of harsh. As other fellow mates said, forum is not something you can spam and go away or go unnoticeable. If you do bad, eventually you'll end up getting banned soon.

Instead be active, contribute and you will be loved and can make good sum of money as well be advertising your services.

it needs time to attach a forum. at least 1 month membership is needed to market your idea. i saw many forums ban direct after 15 post restriction if the user post link or advertise it. in 2007-08 this restriction was low. but now, it is high

SEO and Google Adwords are very efficient and low in cost. Get your keyword rank first in google is my primary work now. In my opinion, it's getting harder and harder to do business online since you got more and more competitors. Also depends on your business type, online marketing could be very various. Also, you have to control the budget. You have a lot of things to take into consideration.

No, there isn't an easy way to do forum marketing. It takes time and work, but it can also be fun. You can't just go into a forum and start talking about your product, affiliate program, etc. You need to first become a part of that community. Post help, relevant content that contributes to the forum over a decent period of time before even adding a signature. Most forums don't like people that sign up and immediately start advertising. Also, make sure that you completely read the rules of the forum before even joining. Some don't allow any type of advertising or even advertising links, so if that's your goal, then that wouldn't be the forum for you.

Honestly this is because you are posting on the wrong forums which obviously have strict rules and regulations which its members must abide, What you are actually looking for is free advertising forums. These forums can be used to build backlinks in both signatures and posts, an example is in my signature. Best of luck mate.
