Does Google allow affiliate links on Froogle? If they do, is there anyway to create a datafeed from ebay, or amazon, and upload product info? I think that I have seen it done once or twice, though I am not sure. Carmen
HAHAHA, are you serious? No, there is no way you can do this. Otherwise google base would be polluted with the same crap and would be unusable.
Official word is no affiliate sites. You must be the merchant, but its pretty obvious that affiliate sites are getting feeds approved and listed.
So you want to submit your listings (all of them or some of them)? Keep reading to find out how to increase your ebay exposure on google's seach pages with custom 'shopping' type links. This is in addition to any google search results that may come up for your items, either store, auction or fixed listings. Basically you can increase your hits from potential customers by adding your listings to Google Base (also known as Froogle). You can add your ebay listings without having to manually type in all of your items details. This ability comes in the form of ebay's relatively new support for RSS feeds. Here's what you need to do: Setup your ebay RSS feeds by going to My Ebay: Goto Myebay > Marketing Tools > Store Marketing > Listing Feeds; Then click the options to generate RSS files, Check both options. Now you will have an RSS feed setup by eBay. Next you will submit this eBay feed to Froogle. The easiest way to submit it is to download the software from Froogle. Please goto my blog entry for the download link to the software (its free and I dont get anything for adding this link). There is an alternate way to add bulk files to Froogle, however this has some issues with it and is quite difficult to make work. So the easiest way is to download this piece of software, install it, Setup your Froogle Account and follow the easy instructions that come with the software. The software will then use your ebay password and login, grab all of your listings (its only doing a copy of your listings, it wont affect your existing ebay listings), and submit to Froogle. That's it simple, now you will list all of your ebay items within Froogle and GAIN maximum additional amounts of exposure for your items.
rappu is remotely correct on this topic. As he/she didn't provide links or the name of the software, I will elaborate on this a bit: You need to click here: http://base.google.com/support/bin/answer.py?answer=71476&ctx=sibling and grab a copy of Google Base Store Connector. It is an essential piece of software if you wanna get your Ebay, Yahoo Store or osCommerce items onto Froogle. If you're selling on Ebay, make sure you are an actual merchant stocking the product. No affiliates!!! Just read on the help file, it is a breeze to set up the connection between your Ebay feed and Froogle. You are definitely winning if you do this. Correctly key-worded Ebay listings usually appear high in Froogle results and you don't need to be a data feed optimization guru to do that
Wow, that easy? I thought you can't list your ebay stuff in google base. I have a friend who sells vintage buckles at ebay. He wanted to list his items with Googlebase also directly from his ebay account. He'd be happy if I'll point him here and see that it can be done. Now, it really pays to read Help files eh?
