From your experience what is there to gain from submitting to directories with a page rank of 0. My thoughts are that you might get a 1% boost in traffic... Or maybe in a years time when those directories have increased the PR. Well I guess you would hope they are still live.
If the thematic fit is great and the directory is really relevant to your site, go for it. That said, directory submission is a low level SEO tactic with very minimal benefits, regardless of PR. The reason for this is that Google has long depreciated the vast majority of directory links. Don't go chasing the wind: wou should concentrate your efforts elsewhere.
The only traffic you'll ever get is the webmaster checking whether your site is spammy or not. Sometimes you dont even get that
I agree, complete waste of time. Focus on the few high end directories and then build higher quality links. That being said, if you have a narrow niche there can be some effective directories there.
its definitely worth if the directory is respected within an industry. if you're working in a small, non technical niche, maybe even the best directory in that niche is PR0. You should probably judge directories based on the quality, not the rank. even a High PR directory often passes very little link juice once you go thru multiple categories & sub categories
I've answered my own question here. http://www.allwebdirectory.net/2010...tural-anchortext-penalty-pr0-vs-pr4-strength/ Basically this suggests that Page Rank has no effect on link building. Only relevant links count.
