I came across this HYIP site that offers 3000% interest on a deposit of $100,000. The site was written in English, but slightly broken. Here is an excerpt from their FAQ:

    What e-currency do you accept?
E-gold only, because e-gold is the oldest and most secure digital currency on the net. Easy to transfer, exchange currencies and avoid paperwork.

What is the minimum and maximum deposit?
Minimum deposit is 50 USD and maximum is 100,000 USD

    Are multi-spends allowed ?
Yes, you can make as many spends as you would like.
Can i spend directly from e-gold site ?
    Yes, of course.

How often are payouts made ?
Payouts are made every trading day for 7 days per week.

If the site was run by wall street investors, wouldn't it be written better? What is it that is being done about sites like these? I mean, I don't fall for stuff like this, but there are people who do!

Common sense is still your best defense when it comes to these kinds of get rich quick offers. The old saying that if it looks too good to be true it probably is still holds weight.

There are so many scams on the internet now (Nigerian email fraud, fake websites, phishing, etc.) that my rule is to always be wary whenever someone from the internet wants something of mine. It's a good rule of thumb.

I don't think that there is anything that can really be done about internet scams because everybody is from different parts of the world and different counties have different laws.

I think he means "one" as in a person who is easily duped. It's just sad that people fall for this stuff.
