Have you noticed, the longer the sales letter, the more expensive the product? The marketers must think that you're more susceptible to their 'pitch' (or gullible, depending on which way you look at it) when you're bored out of your freakin' mind, I don't know... but I'll try and get to the bottom of it!

Not exactly. I have seen many long sales page comes with inexpensive products. However, it could not deny that the more long letters with convincing wordings, the more chance to capture attention from regular readers.

I also noticed this fact. And yeah.. seems like the marketers try to convince their customers with tons of facts. But I think it´s not in general: long letter - expensive product.

That was the general rule of thumbs when creating sales letter. If the product offered are more expensive, then most marketers tend to provide more details, otherwise it is hard to sell.

Anyway, I found out it is not always true nowadays, there are lots of BS around and consumer are getting smarter. Some marketer are using just a short video (video salesletter) to sell a $97 product instead of long-winded salesletter.

I see the trend of guys using the video sales letter as well. It seems a lot better than old school sales copy. At least it's new.

The lengthy sales letter are old fashioned now. Video sales letter is quite impressive

Interesting observation. Personally I have NEVER read an entire sales pitch letter. Mainly because they all look exactly the same and bore the heck out of me for some product that I don't even find that useful in the first place. I think that the move to a video pitch is interesting but really they are just creating an infomercial... nothing new there except it's online instead of on late night t.v.
Best of luck on your quest :D

Aha, it gives better results+ you're decreasing possibility of your letters going to the spam box.
