Is there anything about ClickBank you would like to know about, or share with us?

I ask because I have a blog about affiliate marketing. The blog is NOT a sales pitch for products but rather, its focus is on informing newbies on affiliate marketing.

I've made it clear to people on forums and Q/A sites that when they ask questions about making money online, working at home, etc they attract spammers with their referral links to 'writing jobs', 'paid surveys', software for affiliate marketing, etc. On sites like this that is common sense but for complete newbies it really isn't.

Do you agree with these observations about ClickBank:

    • Its annoying that you don't see your current net sales when you first log in. Instead, you see your gross earnings which in which you have to click a couple of buttons to know if a user requested a refund or not.
    • Its overwhelmingly full of products with spammy descriptions which sound like false promises to people with common sense.
    • The owners of the company don't seem to care about making it a more reputable place to do business with, whether you're buying or if you're an affiliate.

It's rumored that clickbank shaves your commission. That's what I want to add.

I don't agree with those observations. Other affiliate managers have less quality products and more spammy.

hmm clickbank do not shave commisions, This has been going on forever but has never been proven.

And I also disagree with your statements. Their are a lot worse networks than clickbank out there.

I tend to agree with the second statement. There seem to be a lot of "over-hyped" products in the CB marketplace, especially in the "marketing" and "make money" sections. However, that does not make CB a bad place, in my opinion. There are also a lot of top-notch products brought by honorable merchants. It's your responsibility, as an affiliate, to separate the good from the bad and select only high quality, legitimate offers to promote.
