Just about all my family is using it as well as a lot of public computers, libraries, campuses, etc. I have it to view web sites i build for compatibility issues, however on every website I build I test the browser the user is using and if it is IE 6 or lower I have a javascript alert appear one time telling them that their experience will be better with IE >=7 or FF.

I use IE6!!!! Now my question is: if I decide to download Firefox and Chrome, can I still use IE? I know that sounds like a dumb question but I don't know the advantages of Firefox and Chrome and IE work fine for me.

Yes, you can have both at your PC. I use FF most the time but sometime i use IE7 as well. The advantage of Firefox is the addon, it provide many good tool, and of course it is more secure

IE? wats that. firefox has replaced IE long time back. Safari is turning out to be beter than the rest. IE can be seen nowhere in the race. But recently IE8 was out, thot of using it, its k bt not enuf. in the end firefox is the best.

Popular or much used? There is a difference. I'm sure you use it more than anyone likes it. In any case, IE6 usage is now less than Firefox usage and dropping rapidly.
