yes, I have IE6, which I use only to view changes in site design or when making a new site, since most of my visitors are either with IE6 or IE7 and there is usually some difference with the diff. browsers.
On another hdd I have also IE8 for same reason...

Otherwise, I am generally with FF :)

From what I've seen, there are a lot of people still using it... If you go to the local community college down here, most of the machines in the classrooms still have it.

About 16% of my users use it. You still have to consider it when you build a website.

    thanks for all your response.

I'm currently designing a new website and I don't know whether I should care about ie6 compatibility or not.

ie6 is truly troublesome... there are many css to modify.

There are more Firefox users than IE6 users according to all the stat companies. IE6 is around 20% usage and dropping faster than IE usage overall (also dropping about 8% per year).

I was just reading about a campaign in norway to make people upgrade, and I'm all for it. Webdesigning would be so much easier without it. I don't care about perfect compatibility to IE6, I just make it look OK. I'm afraid it will not die before Windows XP is dead as well, which is a slow process, because Vista is not very good. I'm sort of excited about Windows 7, because it's (apparently) a lot better than Vista, so that'll probably speed up the death of XP (along with the fact that it's 32bit). Internet explorer is holding the net back. Not just IE6, IE7 and IE8 are too. I wouldn't even mind people using IE8 so much, just not IE6 (or 7, 7 is pretty bad too.)

I'm not using IE6 because Vista came with IE7. I rarely used IE because Firefox is my favorite browser.
