Apart from major web directories such as Joeant.com / Business.com / BOTW.org. Is there any quality and well worth web directory for paid submission these days? I have found a rarely one while most of web directories these days are not worth for a paid submission. I found some good directories from member here are - Authoritydirectory.com / Amray.com / Kingbloom.com. What else?

you need to find out the business directories which are really active and their listing actually have good visibility in search engine. for example if you search some thing related to real estate , yahoo directory shown up on first page . so yahoo real estate directory is a god option to pay if you have site related to this niche. so this way you need to find out directories relevant to different business niche with good visibility of their listing...
If I was paying for links I would go though google and find niche directories in the category your site is in.
