Hello all, I had a similar post a few days and received a couple of recommendations but neither of them worked. My goal is merge several flv files by cutting them and pasting the different parts into a swf file to be used on the web. I need the audio and video portions of the original files. Does anybody out there have any idea how to do this or know of any software that works? Thanks.
Hi, Adobe flash would do this very easily. If you cant afford it, look at swishmax 2, it's reasonably cheaper.
After Effects will do that (CS4 or higher) in ten seconds but it's pricey. A free alternative is to convert the flv to avi or quicktime with something like SUPER (www.erightsoft.com/SUPER.html) then use iMovie/MovieMaker to edit and some other free tool to convert the resulting avi to flv. Hope this helps.
You may try FLV Editor Ultimate which has many great functions. The features in the official site are below: 1. Trim FLV/MP3 to get the desired duration. 4.Merge several FLV files into one. (Up to 5 files can be imported at one time to the Resource List) flv editor lite 5. Real-time preview to see the output effect. 6. Generate SWF and HTML files for uploading online. 7. Easily edit FLV/MP3 files on timeline. So I recommend you this tool, you can see detail and guides: Free download link: http://www.flash-video-soft.com/flv-editor/ Also, you can use avs video editor which may be difficult for us: http://www.avs4you.com/AVS-Video-Editor.aspx I hope this may help you
