Recently, there are so many no-follow links are shown as back links in google webmaster tools, But its really hard to believe, but it may be the truth. Experts please help to resolve this issue, from your experience.
They are recognized by the search engines for their anchor text and I think they matter a little but not as a good as do follow links. They are also good for traffic
ya for sure, no-follow links are also useful in SEO purpose while do-follow links only forwords the PR juice that's only the differnce
Recently many bookmarking sites, blogs, forums turned into no-follow. But still they are contributing a value. Twitter links is also no-follow, but its contributing some value. @zurpit.com thanks for the great reply. So you are also thinking the same. @marshalprince let me ask one doubt, is google giving too much importance for PR now?
if the links are showing up on webmaster tools, then the links are being counted, however, sometimes some links will be dofollow and Google will follow them, later on the site owner might turn it to nofollow. even if Google dont count nofollow links, yahoo and Bing still count them so if you get any good nofollow link, grab them
The whole point of nofollow is that it doesn't pass any weight, or reputation; basically pagerank. Nofollow will get your site indexed, as despite it saying, nofollow, googlebot does actually follow it, they just don't count that link towards search rankings.
Only one difference No-Follow links Doesn't pass or share pagerank. But Do-Follow shares pagerank with you.
