Is there any way to setup a business Facebook page without having a personal FB account first?

No. All Facebook pages should be connected to a personal account.

I have business pages without having a personal profile. I deleted my personal profile a few years back as I hated it, but later decided to go back and use it for business pages only.

I still login using the same details as I used to for my personal page, but just get taken to my Facebook ads dashboard.

So, to answer your question, I do have business pages without having a personal page, but I'm using what used to be a personal account to log in.

On a side note, one of the downsides of having business pages but no personal page is that you have no way search Facebook. I can click on the names of people who like my page and see their profiles, but I'm not given any way to search for a person or business.

    Regards

    Jason

You can be smart about how you use your personal account - you can delete it as @Jason Webb has but that would make me nervous. Instead just don't use a photo, don't share anything, don't like anything and tie your security down so that you are the invisible man. Everyone's facebook experience is different because everyone has their own unique combination of likes and friends. Yours can be busy or silent as a mouse. Either way, it doesn't impact on your business page.

    That's good advice, Sarah.

Unfortunately, I'd already been using my personal page for about 6 years by that time, so deletion was my only choice. At that time, I'd never used Facebook for my business, and didn't really have intention to, so I didn't think twice about just getting right off the whole site.

In hindsight though, you're right, an "invisible" personal profile would be best, especially as it allows you to search the site properly.

    Regards

    Jason

I use my personal Facebook account very minimally. I'm connected to just a handful of friends, and everything I post is secured. But as @Jason Webb pointed out above, you get the most of out Facebook when you still have a personal account to compliment your business page. You just don't have to use it for much of anything.

You could always create a 'fake' personal account and then set up a business account. Not that I've done that before ;) lol.

I believe you can't create a page without an associated account but if you don't want your personal account associated with your page then just create a dummy account for that page use only.

I have Facebook business pages and my personal account has never been used. As long as people are directed to the business page URLs then no worries.
