Is there any way to know the expiry date of a domain?

I was looking for a suitable domain for my blog and I found that the .com, .net domains are already taken.
so, is there anyway to find the expiry date of the current domain?
any help will be appreciated.

 

Yes you can have a look at the whois info try www.whois.sc

 

Try www.domaintools.com you can find all details about domain name, suggestions etc.

 

Search the domain in http://www.domaintools.com/ and scroll down to the bottom,there's something like { Expiration Date:xxx} that's it!

 

If you want to analyze more then 5 - 10 domains then go for this tool.

True, only shorter names are better and easier to remember.
