Hi, I want to change my IP address dynamically... i got Broadband with cable modem. I need to change my IP address whenever i need it. I don't know how to do it, I heard proxies might help.. but is there any free way to do it.
You are stuck with a static IP if you have broadband (depending on your provider). i know one guy who gets a new IP after rebooting his modem, but that doen't work for me. Call your privider an dask them if you get a new IP on reboot. To hide your IP just use a proxy or TOR (torproject.org).
My stupid ISP customer care is not at all working at night times, here it is night... i would be working on night.. but when i dial them no response. Is there any way to change frm static ip to dynamic ip
I don't think thats possible without your ISP cooperating. There are always measures like using proxies or VPN .
This is dependent on the ISP of course, and no two are exactly the same, but typically with an ISP, you usually get allocated IP's dynamically. So every time you log in, you get an IP address - in theory a different one everytime, but in reality, you usually get the same one for a while. But it does change from time to time. If you require a static IP for any reason....then you ususally have to request one. Some of them charge for this service, some of them just allocate you one or two. So I'm not sure what is going on here with you getting a static IP. In any case, if you do have a static one...(and I'm talking about a public IP address) allocated to you by the ISP, then your'e pretty much stuck with it without their co-operation.
Ok. If you want to temporarily change your IP, go for proxies or hotspot sheild. If you want to permanently, change your ISP.
I am always getting the same IP even i switched of and on the modem, from the beginning i am getting same ip address , i check it using whatismyip.com. I need my ip to be changed by me dynamically , frequently when ever i need a change of my ip. If i change over to diff ISP also i would get a diff ip addrs ,bt that too a static but i need dynamically changing ip
As I said earlier, try using TOR. You can switch between proxies. It works great with FF. It does slow browsing down a bit, but if you really want to change your IP, it might be worth it for you.
search on google: "free proxy" or something like that. Many proxies now are not real proxies, you will browse the web trought their website. It is ok, but many features will not be available, like the ones javascript or ajax based
I forgot to update this thread... i got dynamic IPs.. i came to know this, when i approach my ISP cust care.. and then i checked with their guidance...
