hi!!!! everybody i have one doubt is there any use to submit website to "Links with nofollow attribute" option in web directory????
Nofollow link will have no effect on your link popularity. But you can get traffic from the directory itself ( if it is has visitors )
You can, but the major search engines won't give you linj juice for it. If its SEO you're after, don't waste your time.
You should submit your link to this type of directories also because link to ur site always beneficial for your site. Thanks
Link with nofollow attribute is useless in counting your backlinks. And don't expect a directory will bring your traffic, even those big ones.
Like everyone said, a nofollow link won't help you much, but its not that black and white. Search engines interpret the attribute in different ways. See the wikipedia for full info (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nofollow), but it breaks down like this: - Google follows the link, but does not index the linked-to page. Links with "nofollow" are included in the backlinks reporting data at Google's Webmaster Central. - Yahoo! follows the link, but excludes it from their ranking calculation. - MSN also excludes it from their ranking calculation, but it is unknown whether MSN follows the link. So, if you have a new, non-indexed page, a no-follow link will still get your site indexed by Yahoo! and MSN, but the link won't improve your SERPs at any of the three engines. (with the exception that an indexed page may be served as a result while a non-indexed page won't of course.) So, how much time does it take to submit your link? I use the digixmas directory submitter, and I'm certain that some of the directories I submit to use the nofollow attribute for free links, but it takes me 15 seconds or less to submit to them. Even if I value my time at $120/hour, my "cost" is only fifty cents. If I make a five dollar profit on a sale, and one of these links "hits", I just paid the "submission cost" for 10 of these nofollow links. If we assume the average directory stays up for 1 year and drives 2 hits to our website in that time, and we have a 10% conversion rate, then we effectively make one sale for every 5 nofollow links. Since one sale pays for 10 nofollow links, we come out 2 times ahead of the curve meaning that it is a profitable endevour. Your numbers will vary of course, but as you can see, it may still be worthwhile to gain nofollow links. Another way to look at it is like this: Does it hurt you to have nofollow links? The answer is a most definite No! So, why not? Sure there are other links that will help more, but since they won't hurt you and may help, get all you can with as little effort as possible.
"A link is a link" and take them as the come. It all depends on what type of service you're providing to your visitors.
but if i use directory submission tools means it doesnt know the pr it will submit less pr site also so manual directory submission is best i think so
That's not entirely true. Digixmas shows the PR of the domain, but not the individual pages. So for example, I can tell that londovor.com is PR 6, but I don't get to see if the page I am submitting to has any Page Rank. However, since I can submit to londovor in less than 10 seconds, I don't really care. I mean, sure, I could submit manually using informenter or robosoft, but it would easily take 1 minute or more. I'll gladly submit to 4 unkown PR pages in the time it takes me to submit to 1 known PR page.
