    1) write article's and submitt to article directories, i.e ezinearticles.com and articleatlas.com

    2) Do Press Release

    3) Implement Relevant Meta Codes

    4) Manaul Directory and Search Engine Submissions

Hope this above will help you to get indexed

as long as you just sit there
    nothing is going to happen
an dif anything ever will happen it shall be tiny

    instead

either change your job - your sitting around proves you fail to LOVE your current site/content !!!
or wake up and start WORKING every hours all day, day and night

create content - several pages each day
    quality - unique - interesting - attractive
submit YOUR RSS feeds to all major RSS directories
if you have no RSS feed - CREATE your RSS feed or several feeds and submit

    ping all RSS directories

    create more content
and all SE will come more and more frequently the more you CREATE !!

    of course

you have already done ALL below:

ALL your pages are VALID HTML code > w3.org
ALL links are working / tested
    robots.txt correct / validated > robotstxt.org
sitemapindex.xml placed and validated / registered in your robots.txt

with above - all major SE will find each and every file by simply following your links - even without sitemap.
the sitemapindex.xml may include your sitemap BUT it also may only include ALL your FULL URL to your RSS feeds - and of course you always announce every important new page in a RSS feed ( all UNimportant pages belong to your trash-bin )

Just to get indexed you can sit down actually :) Search engines will index your site on their own pace. Now if you wanna rank better thats a different story.

First U learns about basic SEO. Then start to do proper site factors like implementing title, description, keywords and alt in Ur site. And do Blogging, directory, SMO, Article, PR Submission about Ur site.

Mostly concentrate about Ur site content. Content is most important one.

Actually to get indexed it is fairly simple. If you want your site indexed in Google you just create an account with Google Webmaster Tools then create and submit an XML sitemap to Google. Sit back and watch your site get indexed. Submitting your site to directories, writing articles and even linking from your forum signature are good but not necessary to get indexed in Google.

As some have said, it's all about the incoming links. You can submit directly to MSN.com and they will index your website rather quickly, but Google will index your website faster with in-bound links.

If you submit directly to MSN it takes a couple days or so.

If you can get a few inbound links on quality websites it might take a week or less to get indexed into Google.

You must be indexed into Google before webmaster stats work I believe

You should try installing Google Analytics on your website. It's free.

Yes, and more inbound links increase your rankings in the search engine results pages (SERPs)
