Is there any software that can split up an image into different elements?

I'm an artist, so looking for some software which could say break-apart a photo and split it up into different elements?

Is difficult to explain what I want the software to do, but think for example, think M. C. Etcher or surrealist painters...how they broke up a standard image and made it into something different.

This tool has a image cutter or you could go surreal and make special effects ;)

But this online tool is probably what you mean :)
This tool will scramble the image and make a puzzle like image of it or as you said break up a photo and split it up in different elements.

    Good luck!
