Hello, For one single day, from one IP how many clicks can be generated? And the clicks generated should not ban me in anywayz. I am planning to use Adlogger, and need to restrict clicks for one day from one single IP. Any suggestions are welcome. Thanks.
It's impossible to say. If you only get two clicks a day, if they both come from the same IP, that might be suspicious. If you get 20,000 clicks a day, you might get dozens from a single IP without raising an eyebrow. It also is common to get a bunch of visitors suddenly from the same IP on some days. For example if you post an article about a particular school, a lot of students there might check out the article. All the students are from the same IP, so there is a surge from that IP. There really are no hard and fast rules.
Absolutely superb reply. Great....! I have a website and for this month theres about 150 unique visitors (scattered in all 30 days) and got about 220 clicks...! Do you think this is common and i dont need to worry about this situation? I was actually worrying at it. Please give me your suggestions.
Wow, 220 clicks from 150 visitors? Did they come back many times, or did they click on many ads in one visit? I get hundreds of visitors a day with my sites, but the click rate is horribly low, wonder what I'm doing wrong...
I would be very suspicious of 220 click from 150 visitors. i would suspect there is some click bombing going on.
Perfect answer. A visitor may click an ad, then hit the back button many times until they hit something they like. Setting your adlogger stats to low may only frustrate the user when they go back to see something else and no ads show up. Also remember adlogger is not perfect, and does count mouseovers on some browsers.
I see you're going to cheat Google, and that's not possible at least in the long run. If you get one IP to click on your ads 4-5 times a day... everyday... and almost no other visitors and clicks, that will rise a red flag and you're most probably banned.
