Sorry but i couldn't find better place where to post ! Like the title says , i am running a forums, and i have started a posts competition , how it works ? Well the point is that the ones who has bigger amount of posts has a bigger chance of winning it , so i was wondering which program would you suggest me to use, and how would it work out ? has anyone tried it before ? cheers vai
Which forum software are you using? Surely you only need a simple query to get the users and their post count from the db and then do a weighted randomisation to select the winning user. Personally would warn that you will more likely encourage spam more than anything else.
