Hi, is there any PR importance of backlinks from blogs. as i have read that google has now stop giving credit for the back links from blogs like blogger, wordpress, and other kinds of blogs. Give your suggessions
We don't know what kind of favor does google has with any blog platform or web2.0 properties but we do know that any nofollow tag will not pass link juice although spider do follow the link whereas link without nofollow tag will definitely be passing the link juice if the site or domain are not being penalized by google for breaching any of their term.
it may not pass much juice - but it will pass some weight... it just depends to what degree. either way, backlinks from blogs can't hurt you, they can only help - so you might as well keep using them.
I couldn't see google not giving credit to backlinks from wordpress, unless you mean the free hosted wordpress site via wordpress.org (and not for instance, me download wordpress and putting it on my domain)..Anyways, as far as I know, there is no pr IMPORTANCE with a link coming from a blog. It's just another link, the PR is probably more important than..what type of script is on the site. just my 2 cents
Backlink value is based on many different factors, and I'll tell you right now the platform the website is run on is NOT a factor.
the backlinks still show up in yahoo siteexplorer, sometimes even nofollow blog backlinks show up -- so there is some weight even if no PR
I see google crediting links from blog comments when I do the link:mydomain.com command. Not many of them, but some... and the relevance of the blog doesn't always seem to be a crucial factor.
The link: command is unreliable at best. You're far better off using Google's Webmaster Central to check your inbound links.
This is not an question to ask, if blog is important for G or any search engine than link coming from it's are also as much as valuable, but in case of G only you need to care about "nofollow".
It does not matter whether the back link is from a blog , a forum or a directory . What might me important is the authority if the source that you use to link back .That is a webpage having a high PR / High degree of relevancy / frequently updated source and other such factors
Who said you this and where have you read ? Who ever is writing this for all for promoting themselves, only a handfull of people in google knows all the secrets of google and they are not disclosing anything. So better carry with your work beacuse each and every link will give juice to your page if it has nofollow tag but a condition is that the pages should not be banned by google or have sandbox effect or any other cheap method. It doesn't matter whether a link is blog, website , forum or any other source.
