What good is a directory link if it's zero PR?

    Every little helps :)

Just because a page doesn't have a PR, doesn't mean it doesn't get spidered at all. The backlick won't be very effective, but I'm sure 10,000 of them would be..

Jup. When those PR0 directories increase their PR, your PR will increase also.

    We all started at 0.....

It usually doesn't stay that way and over time the benefits of any business should be with long term vision and not temporary gain.

If it's a greybar, that's a bad idea. Other than that, why not?

I don't understand what you're saying? Is there a difference between 0 PR and a "greybar"?

BIG DIFF..dont waste time with either imho..grey is banned from g...and zero means new or useless or both. Why submit to zeros when there are limitless pr2,3,4 and up?
    Its all about searching folks.....

I kinda agree with this, but not 100%. Banned of course is useless, but PR0 with good content can be usefull in the future. So, in my opinio is just a matter content and not only PR

Grey doesn't mean banned. It means it hasn't been spidered and indexed by Google yet. All websites start of with a grey bar. When they have been indexed in Google, they will goto 0 at the next PR update.

I'll buy any Google banned sites

    Send me a PM.

As opposed to popular belief they are of value to some people.

Links on PR0 sites are easy to obtain.

If those directories get PR and/or go to Paid, then you will be listed and the link becomes more valuable.

So why not submit to PR0 directories?

Sure , even pr0 passes some pr to your site and also most of them won't stay pr0.

Actually, it's good to submit to PR0 directories, especially the newly made ones. Fresh directories are faster to approve links and you never know what PR they will have after the next PR update ;)

    TRAFFIC...

Traffic is all that really matters.

Even a PR0 site can offer you traffic.

I like submitting to new directories because you can typically reserve a nice spot in a main category before they fill up!

Most directories don't send any significant traffic though :(

Its not really the traffic most are after when submitting to directories, it is the link most want. With a PR 0 directory chances are it is still new so submitting to them is a great idea because that directory could turn out to have a very high PR. I say submit to them all if you can, you never know which ones can turn out to be a gold mine for great links in the future.

well gray bar doesn't always mean banned it can be a site that is less then a month old.
after you summit the site it will take about month for Google to index the site so till then it would be gray

The help may only be miniscule, but it certainly won't hurt. Why not?
