    Is there any point in listed in redirect link directory? Many directories do not give you any direct link, but redirect link. I guess this is set up so that the directory will not lose PR? It may benefit the directory, but it doesn't really benefit websites listed, does it?

    Your correct. There isnt much point in getting listed in a directory offering redirect links unless you get direct traffic benefits.

    It is my understanding that the only benefit would be traffic, not PR.

    Above all, they can't hurt. And maybe at some point, the website owner decides to give away direct links instead of redirects. I would suggest, always get 'em.

    Many directories use 302 redirects. That can hurt. I would avoid those. ;)

    Yes, I'd only bother if you were going to get substantial traffic from it - especially if they are asking for a link in return
