Water marks with company’s name or URL is a good alternative to protect your images from getting stolen, however this makes the image a little untidy. Is there any other way to protect images against image theft?

I don't think there might be any other way to do that... To avoid copying images, just disable the right click

There are various ways to harden the process & make it not worth trying like disabling right clicks, using images as backgrounds, adding watermarks to them & more.

No, even if you disable the right click then also they can take download your images. I think there is no way to protect the images of our website. But we can find if someone using our images on their website by Google new image search.
