is there any other uses of php other than creating dynamic website?

    Sure there is.

    I use PHP as a scripting language for cron jobs on my desktop. Much like any other Linux user would use Perl/Python/etc.

    Soon php will be able to be used for creating desktop applications. PHP is great for gathering data, rerouting traffic, so many applications.
