Is there any harm of changing payee name

    i have an adsense account on my friends payee name, recently he is shifted to another city, and i am using his adsense account, and i want to change the payee name , i heard that do not change the payee name else google ban you. is this right . plz help me to do so ..

    Adsense accounts can't be transferred from one person to another, which would be the case if the account was changed from your friend's name to your name. You need to open an account in your own name. Once your new account is active, you can change the codes on all of your sites. (Be sure to read the thread that Webberman linked to before you contact Google.)

    Here is the info from Adsense support:

    You can change the name on the account if it's a different name for the same person, which isn't true in your case.

    Thats quite true and its black and white. It's a good reason for having sites that you can quickly change sitewide links on, so that if you have lots of sites your changeover is much easier
