    Hi All,

Just want to know that does DMOZ give guaraneed approval of sites by charging some money or something?

I don have any idea please let me know.

or is there any fee to submit the site on DMOZ in normal process?

There are sites out there that offer paid listings, but there is always a risk that you'll be found out and your site will be banned FOREVER!

They do not guaranee listings, and once you get a listing they make no promises that it will stay.

Submit & forget is the best policy...

Though, you may wish to look into becoming an editor yourself and listing your own site. That does seem to work for some people.

    Most definitely NOT.
This is made very clear in the DMOZ charter:
Offering payment to an editor is a good way to get your site(s) permanently banned, and any editor found to be accepting payment immediately loses their editing account permanently.

    Seriously.

Furthermore, if anyone has proof of such transactions, please report them immediately through the Public Abuse system. Thank you.

Dmoz is free, you'd better design your site very clean, beautiful, and with more good, and original contents. Submit your site to Dmoz yourself, and wait.

This are true guarantees on real life , on virtual life we can have some guarantees too , for example if you or me or anyone else had to go on geocities ( around 2001 ) and make a test page filling it with some crap text , some referral links from amazon , or if you/me or anyone else are own a known girl community and just clone one of your sub domains from there put the clone on one domain ( and after some time just redirect this domain on the community sub domain ) , will be like a guarantee the links will be its seems for years on dmoz :)

If you ever go on one of those sites that ask for a payment for submission, remember that they are charging you for help with submitting your site and not for a listing in the directory.

Nopes, there is not gurrunted inclusion to ODP.
I've submitted my website in most relevant category many a times but every time editor just visit my homepage and jump out without reviewing the website.
On other end i found there are so many websites which get indexed in DMOZ for multiple times in different categories.

I guess you ignored the clear instruction to submit your site just once. Suggesting it more often does nothing at all to increase the chance that an editor will see it, and multiple suggestions can be seen as spamming, resulting in a permanent ban.
I'm afraid this is a pure guess, and very likely completely wrong.
Many people, automated processes and tools operate from the DMOZ servers, so a visit from "dmoz.org" may not even be an editor. Even if it were, you can have absolutely no more clue of the purpose of that visit than of any other to your site.

I`m not sure about the policy with multiple links from different categories on ODP , but I saw same few big dogs with multiple listings its true , maybe because this sites just have something valuable on different areas :D , anyway once listed there its means the site have something useful to show to visitors .... means maybe they have other things to show too ... looks pretty fair ;)

How do you come to know about that an editor visited your site?

If it is submitted to the same category more than once, the latest submission overwrites the previous. This will result in the submitted site showing up lower on the list if an editor is viewing the order of date submitted (which many do).

It is easy to see who and where the site was submitted from and may result in a flag that will tell editors not to list it due to spamming. A couple of resubmissions is not going to get it flagged. But if the site is submitted multiple times over several categories then .... well... it directly violates ODP guidelines not to mention wastes editors time.

You don't. See my post above.
The previous poster thought that a referral from dmoz.org meant an editor had reviewed his site, but I explained that was a common fallacy.
