Hi guys,i hope you all are doing well.I am bit confused regarding my site ranking. My site has gone from 1st page to 6th page around 2 weeks ago.I am continuing with off site work and by now site didn't come back.Site is not coming from 5th to 4th or 3rd page.Is there any filter of Google which don't allow site to come from 5th page to any other page. All keywords are fluctuating from 5th to 6th to 7th page.None of the page is coming on 4th or 3rd page. What should i do?Is this a filter which is not allowing me or what?

if it is a new site, there is a filter that google is rumoured to use called the google sandbox.

also if you have made changes on-page it would make a difference or if you suddenly got a load of backlinks to your site it could look unnatural and spammy

Hi.. as far as I know google sandbox are for those site who violated the rules of google and rumors have said that it is their punishments..

with your case, do you think you violated a rule? make sure that you got a pretty good back link in order for your site to rank again..

the sandbox is not because you violated a rule, it usually affects new sites to prevent spam, usually what happens is it will rank well for a little while then drop off the map, it will gradually return

Changes in web sites page can cause this problem. But tough competition can also not be neglected.

    Sounds like a penalty..
Have you done anything that don't comply with Google Webmaster Policies? like selling links or building too many backlinks in a short period of time?
