    Welcome to DP!

If you look around you will find the answer.
MoneyBookers, e-Gold... just to name a few.

The paypalsucks website is run by a paypal competitor. As such the site is garbage. Considering the rediculous number of people who use PayPal, the number of issues is moot. Most of the people who have problems with PayPal were doing something shady.

Much like the people who act like Google banned them from AdSense for no reason.

If you believe the hype about Paypal then Google Checkout is very nice.

I don't trust any web-site that turns my very real cash in to very fake "currency."

If you actually look at many of the complains on paypalsucks closely, the mass majority would have broken a term or two and are frustrated because they are found out. If you follow the terms and conditions of Paypal to the letter and do not use it for anything which is unacceptable, you should not face any problem.

When they say to use a Credit Card to verify, use a Credit Card and not some VCC or anything. Never also try to open an account using a fake address or if you are underaged. Also in all your sales, ensure that it is done with a Premier or Business account and not a personal account. When selling anything, ensure you have physical proof of delivery and you should do fine.

Paypal is nice until people who uses it tried to bend the rules or sign up with fake details or use fake IDs like VCC. Paypal used to be a nice platform but not anymore.

As a customer, I like the simplicity of the Paypal system and that at least with it I have some form of protection against the vendors if they do not play ball. With e-gold and moneybookers as a customer, I have no form of protection and like KalvinB said, I don't like fake currency like e-gold. Because of the 'all payments are final and funny money' e-gold usage, it is a great platform for crooks and scam artists.

Depending on your location you could check with 2checkout, chronopay, moneybookers, worldpay, protx etc few alternate there, even you can use these processors alongside paypal.

Well, without physical proof of delivery, it is really just your words againsts your customers words and they will typically side your customer as there is no protection for digital items. You probably just have to trust your customers or do the necessary due diligence before complete the sale.

Well, in the case of digital delivery. Just upload whatever it is you are delivering on some host and then post the link in your resolution console, saying you have already sent it, but the customer can download it from the link if needed.

I'll just add my two-pennorth on paypalsucks, if I may. I had a look at it when I wanted advice on chargeback. What I found was that the most popular thread was one offering to sell fake paypal accounts. Would you want to do business with someone who had bought a fake account and had an entirely fake I.D. - of course not. Like others have said, the people who do the most whining on there have had their paypal accounts closed because they were doing something dodgy, if not illegal.

What good are the alternatives if your clients are not using it. Yes, there are horrible stories about Paypal but still a lot of people are still using it. Although I have used both of them (paypal and moneybookers) I find moneybookers transaction fees the lowest.
